Chip Nexus Launches the Test Capacity Advisory Board
The Test Capacity Advisory Board, comprised of leaders from the semiconductor test
community, was formed to help establish the future of test capacity management.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB)
July 11, 2008 -- Chip Nexus is pleased to announce their formation and sponsorship
of the Test Capacity Advisory Board (TCAB). The purpose of the TCAB is to raise
an awareness of the key issues with semiconductor test capacity management by tapping
into the valuable insight and experience of the leaders in the test community.
The TCAB membership is comprised of senior executives from all three firm types
in the semiconductor test community: test specifiers, test providers, and test equipment
suppliers. The breadth and depth of the TCAB membership provide a comprehensive
view of the trends and challenges of semiconductor test capacity management.
| "The TCAB will help launch a new era of collaborative efforts and solutions necessary to boost the economic profits for all firms in the semiconductor test value chain." |
"We are pleased to see the immediate interest from so many thought leaders in semiconductor
test," said Dan Hamling, Chip Nexus CEO and founder. "These executives recognize
that several trends related to semiconductor test are converging to intensify the
need for innovative and focused test capacity management solutions. They are taking
action to discover these solutions."
"Companies have been addressing in an ad hoc manner the unique challenges of test
capacity management for a long time now," said Mark Byars, U.S. Group Sales Manager
at leading test equipment supplier Advantest and TCAB member. "The TCAB will help
launch a new era of collaborative efforts and solutions necessary to boost the economic
profits for all firms in the semiconductor test value chain."
Current TCAB member companies include (in alphabetical order): Advantest, Carsem,
Cirrus Logic, Exar, GE Capital Solutions, Infineon, Inphi, Open-Silicon, Oxford
Semiconductor, Qualcomm, Team A.T.E., and Texas Instruments. Other leaders in the
semiconductor test arena that would like to share their test capacity management
experience and insight with the TCAB can apply at www.testcapacity.org.
